Note : This ski Tour runs from December till Macrh, and can depart at any date of your preference. Itinerary : 8 days Toubkal Ski Touring.
Program
- Day One Arrival to Marrakech & Transfer to Imlil.
You will be picked up from your the airport in Marrakech , and drive towards Imlil valley where you will spend the night at lodge either in Imlil village. 1h30 drive
- Day Two Imlil - Toubkal Refuge.
After an early wake-up and breakfast, we load our luggage onto the mules and walk up to Toubkal Refuge 3206m at the base of Mount Toubkal. We eat lunch and then get informed about the local mountain environment, the routes for the next few days, safety considerations, etc. This is followed by a practical run through of our ski equipment. We will overnight the next few nights in the refuge, where we also eat breakfast and dinner. We take lunch with us onto the mountain. 5h walk.
- Day Three Refuge – Toubkal summit - Refuge.
In the morning, we put on skis and climbing skins (ski touring) or crampons (alpine touring) for a ski tour of Toubkal peak 4167m, down via the same route to the Refuge. Overnight. 5h.
- Day Four Refuge – Akioud– Toubkal Refuge.
Today, we will walk on skis towards Akioud peak 4045m from where we will have a very good skiing descent to the refuge. Overnight. 5h.
- Day Five Refuge – Ouankrim peak– Refuge - Aremd.
After breakfast, we will target mount ouankrim for our last descents in Toubkal surrounding peaks. This will be a great descent too! It’s worth it when you reach the peak! you will have nice views over the snowcapped peaks! back to the refuge where you will have lunch before skiing down to Aremd village where you will spend the night at a nice lodge.
- Day Six Aremd – Imlil – Tachedirt - Tizi n'Likemt Pass - Tachedirt.
Morning transfer by bus to the village of Tachdirt 2300m, walk uphill on skis to Tizi n’Likemt Pass 3600m. After a pic-nic lunch at the top, ski down along the valley and overnight in the village of Tachdirt.
- Day Seven Tachedirt - Imlil - Marrakech.
Morning transfer by bus to Imlil where you will have lunch before transfer back to Marrakech. Check in at a Riad & overnight. 2h drive.
- Day Eight Transfer to Airport.
You will be picked up from your hotel towards the airport of Marrakech depending on your flight time.
